“PHILOGRAPHY ", THE CALLIGRAPHY OF HEART

For those who have not still found this word in French, English or Spanish Language dictionaries do not worry. Fr. Philippe Cochinaux invented it.  Here in the General Chapter, we are conceiving new ideas, words, signs, and ways the Order would follow in successive years before the challenge of globalization that also includes the handling of the media at all levels. Of course, "Philography" was also part of the lexicon used by the homilist of the day,   the General Vicar of the General Vicariate of St. Thomas Aquinas in Belgium. He, along with Fr. Yvon Pomerleau (Provincial of Canada) and Fr. Didier Boillat (Provincial of Helvetia), participated in the Eucharist celebration of the day.

The Parable of the Sower invites us to recognize that ‘God made us good land to sow’ and Jesus invites us to be " Philographers ", that is to say, men and women willing to walk along God’s way, convinced of His infinite love inscribed in the heart of the ones we love and who love us”

The Student Friars of Colombia enlivened our Eucharist and our French choir continues delighting us with their voices to make the liturgy a space that invites us to the withdrawal into ourselves, to the experience and contemplation of the Mystery of God.

COMISSIONS WORK ROUND OFF

The documents to be presented in the plenary of the General Chapter are being consolidated. Manuscripts that are passed to word processing, translations, corrections, last revisions jus before going to the Capitular Room.

Three colors are used to write the reports: pink for the first revision; green for the second revision and blue for a third just in case.  White is the official document that will make part of the Records of the Chapter.  For now, we are in the first phase that is ´pink color.

Discussions, suggestions, recommendations, opinions, changes in the writing, among others, are the favorable moments to settle down what the most convenient thing is for the Church and the mission of the Order, keeping loyal to the Dominican charisma.

COINCIDENCES IN THE CHAPTER

We found in the chapter a sister and a brother that seemed to share something.   It is a name, TÁMARA. For her, a young Spanish sister, it is a first name: Támara MURILLO, who belongs to the Roman Congregation of Saint Dominic in Italy.  For him, a Colombian friar, it is a last name:  Fr. Edgar Támara Puerto, a theology student, belonging to the San Luis Bertrán Province of Colombia.
